17Blood Pressure Machines

Purpose

Getting a monitor to patients who need one, and confirming it arrived.

Procedure

1. Add the patient to the BP machine tab.
2. Record the date the machine was sent and the tracking number.
3. Check the tracking and confirm the machine was signed for and received.
4. Confirm whether the patient has booked their obs call off the back of receiving it.
5. If not booked, chase through the obs pathway (16).

Fields recorded

Patient · date sent · tracking number · signed for / received · obs call booked (Y/N)

Notes

• Patients keep the machines. They are never returned, so there is no inventory return process.
